Hastings-Sunrise is a gem of a neighbourhood located in the north-eastern corner Vancouver in BC. One of Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods, Hasting-Sunrise is primarily residential, single family dwellings, with some multi-family buildings.
Over the past 5 years the funky cultural vibes from "The Drive" (Commercial Drive) have made their way a little further east to "The Rise" (Hastings Street loosely between Naniamo and Renfrew). Hastings St. will always be busy however somewhere between the great muti-ethnic foods and the mega pharmacy stores, The Rise is developing a real charm of its own.
